CNG Transmission Corporation; Notice of Status Report

February 24, 1998.
    Take notice that on February 19, 1998, CNG Transmission Corporation 
(CNG), tendered for filing an updated status report on the further 
development of CNG's electronic communication systems, as required by 
the Commission's September 15, 1997, order in the above-referenced 
proceedings.
    CNG states that copies of its filing have been mailed to all 
parties to the captioned proceeding.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C., 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed on 
or before March 2, 1998. Protests will be considered by the Commission 
in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve 
to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection 
in the Public Reference Room.
