ANR Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas
Tariff
April 3, 1998.
Take notice that on March 31, 1998, ANR Pipeline Company (ANR)
tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised
Volume No. 1 and Original Volume No. 2, the following tariff sheets
proposed to be effective May 1, 1998:
Second Revised Volume No. 1
Twenty-First Revised Sheet No. 17
Original Volume No. 2
Fifteenth Revised Sheet No. 14
ANR states that the referenced tariff sheets are being submitted to
update the ``Eligible Throughput Actually Experienced'' as required by
Sections 26.4, 26.5 and 27.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of
ANR's FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, to adjust the Order
No. 528 Volumetric Buyout Buydown Surcharge and to implement the annual
redetermination of ANR's Upstream Pipeline Surcharge, commencing May 1,
1998.
As a result of this filing, the Volumetric Buyout Buydown Surcharge
will decline from $0.0240 to $0.0002 and be designed to recover
annually $27.1 million less than the currently effective Buyout Buydown
Volumetric Surcharge, due to the expiration of the Volumetric Buyout
Buydown Surcharge for Docket Nos. RP91-33, et. al., RP91-192, RP92-4,
RP92-199, RP93-29, RP93-149 and RP96-10. The Upstream Pipeline
Surcharge will decline from $0.0005 to $0.0001 and be designed to
recover $0.1 million less on an annual basis than the currently
effective Upstream Pipeline Surcharge.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426,
in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed as
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to
the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a
motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the

Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public
Reference Room.
