Licensing of U.S. Provisional Patent Application Concerning Taqman
Internal Positive Control
AGENCY: Department of the Army, DoD.
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: In accordance with 37 CFR 404.6 and 404.7, announcement is
made of the availability for licensing of U.S. Provisional Patent
Application No. 60/361,455 entitled ``Taqman Internal Positive
Control,'' filed March 4, 2002. Foreign rights are also available (PCT/
US03/06347). The United States Government, as represented by the
Secretary of the Army, has rights in this invention.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The prevent invention generally relates to
probes comprising a reporter molecule and a quencher molecule for use
in nucleic acid assays. In particular, the present invention relates to
a universal internal positive control that may be used in polymerase
chain reaction (PCR) based assays.
